Date: Saturday, April 30, 2011Location: East Nashville / black futon (upright position)
What is RedGorilla? RedGorilla, is hands down, the best FREE TO ATTEND music festival in the nation that is taking place from March 14 - 17, 2012 in Austin, TX. In runs simultaneously with South by Southwest every Spring and offers folks in Austin, TX a FREE and incredibly fun alternative to waiting in lines for hours and paying $600+ for badges. RedGorilla is not associated with SXSW in any way, however, the shear amount of fun and music you can absorb is equally as incredible because you can see 500+ bands completely for free every year. I'm not just talking about no-name artists that have
never played for anyone other than their mom's and girlfriends. RedGorilla has a very
impressive roster of alumni performers including Nappy Roots, Andrew W.K., Cage the Elephant and countless major and indie
label artists as well as talented up and comers. If you are in a band, manage a band or know someone that fits in those two categories, you have to tell them about this event. Chances are, they already know all about it. RedGorilla 2010 had over 100,000 attendees in and out of the numerous clubs to watch hundreds of performers all for free. No badge required. Ever.
If you want to learn more about RedGorilla Music Festival, visit their website at: www.RedGorillaMusicFest.com or read about it here on Festivalus at festivalus.com/redgorilla. Welcome to Festivalus! A brief history of...
Date: Saturday, April 10Location: East Nashville / beige leather sectional
How brief? Well, less than a week. Festivalus will be launching in conjunction with Next BIG Nashville Music Festival and Conference in May, 2010.
NBN is Nashville's
premier music festival and conference for rock, pop, soul, funk, jam, indie (about 20 more genres) bands to showcase their music, learn about every aspect of the music industry and party
the night away. It has grown from only 3,000 in attendance to over 15,000 in the last few years. An astounding amount of bands that have performed at NBN have signed major and indie record deals.Festivalus can't express how proud and excited we are to be a part of Next BIG Nashville this year. We are providing NBN band applicants an incredibly simple way to submit to the event. No recurring fees. No spammy emails. Just an easy, affordable way to submit to NBN with no hassles.
You finally don't have to dread submitting your band to a music festival. With Festivalus, you easily navigate through the submission process, save your progress as you go and a simple credit card or Paypal transaction seals the deal. Don't have your final mixes yet? No problem. Fill out the other sections, click "save" and you can come back later to complete your submission. Just don't forget to submit before the event's submission deadline!
I don't know about you but I have signed bands up for festivals and events close to 100 times and it is almost always a nightmare. Something usually goes wrong. Sometimes you don't have everything you need...sometimes the process isn't clear.
We here at Festivalus know how this process works. How best to streamline it for the bands and we offer festival owners/administrators THE most powerful tools and resources to manage all of the incoming data. This is a dream come true for any event, festival, venue, battle of the bands, etc that needs a way to manage all of the band data straight down to the publicist's phone number to the stage plot information for every band.
Easily create custom folders to organize which bands are performing at which venue or on any given night. With one click, you can export any or all of the band data you need to successfully pull off your event with as much organization, ease and relaxation as humanly possible. Believe us... we know how hectic things can be when it's showtime. No more input lists via text message. No more stage plots drawn on soggy napkins. Everything is here and one click away from being on your desktop or in your inbox.
Stay tuned as we roll out many new features in the coming weeks. Some of these admin/festival backend features revolutionize the way festival submission and selection processes operate. We can't give away too much information but rest assured that the internets are about to receive a Nashville belt-buckle beatdown when our one-of-a-kind submission platform is fully functional. Be sure to sign up for our email list for announcements and submission opportunities.
